We receive many letters and phone calls with questions about the company and the SCWL® subliminal programs.
In response to your inquiries, we are enclosing the following information which we feel will answer your questions.
All I hear is ocean sounds. Are my tapes defective? Your tapes are fine. All you will hear consciously is the masking sounds of ocean waves (or music in some titles.) Encoded within and underneath these sounds are thousands of carefully crafted suggestions to bring about the change that the title is designed to produce. Every title has a different set of suggestions encoded into it. What are the scripts on the SCWL® Programs? The scripts are made up of attitude, confidence and self-building affirmations as well as emotional affirmations (those creating feelings), all psychologically arranged to create new concepts, ideas, images and patterns in the subconscious mind and have those concepts (etc.) surrounded by positive feelings which aid the mental process in using new information. Who puts the scripts together for SCWL® Programs? Experts are found in each field who have the knowledge to put together the information needed to create the end result that the program will achieve. So, professionals from all areas of the country have been involved in scripting SCWL® programs. Are the SCWL® Programs approved by anyone else? YES. Midwest Research of Michigan, Inc. uses an advisory board headed by Dr. Philip Hansen, Ed.D., of California State University. The board members are professionals from all over the United States who periodically review the content of the SCWL® programs and make recommendations. A list of the Self-Teaching Institute (STI) members is posted here. Can I get a copy of the script for an SCWL® Program? Midwest Research of Michigan, Inc. maintains a high degree of secrecy on the scripts for two main reasons:
How do I know that there are affirmations on the programs? The technology used in producing the SCWL® programs prevents recording and duplicating without the affirmations. The introduction on each tape verifies the programs affirmations. We also have affidavits on file from the technicians and speakers which are available on request. How are the SCWL® Programs recorded? The most important part of any subliminal program, besides the scripting, is the frequency and the tones within the program. MWRM uses multi-tracks and frequencies covering the spectrum of speech: 2,000 to 4,000 cycles per second, all recorded with specific tones. Some of the recordings are treated electronically. All are at separate decibel level differences, masked with dominant sound of relaxing ocean waves, crickets and sea gulls. The number of affirmations vary drastically depending on the wording of each affirmation. How often should I listen to SCWL® Programs? As often as possible. Repetition is the key to behavioral change. Your mind has an unlimited capacity. At times you may experience a conscious/subconscious conflict causing headache or nausea. If this occurs, let up on your listening. Why are the SCWL® Programs effective so fast? Part of the technology used in formulating the content of the program arranges the affirmations in the psychological order best suited to appeal to all five senses as well as your feelings. Do I have to purchase an expensive unit to get the most benefit? NO. Our programs are recorded in mono and are designed to be completely effective on any tape player you have or plan to purchase. Whey you play it does it matter if it is played on stereo or mono? The tapes were designed so that you may play them on any kind of recorder you have. May I listen to more than one SCWL® Program at the same time? YES. Listen to as many programs as you have players to play them on. How loud should I play the SCWL® Programs? Whatever your hearing range, play them at least so the ocean wave sound is heard as a slight whisper. Don't make it an annoying experience by having the volume too loud. Can 2 tapes be played coming out of the same speaker? YES. Can I play them on a variable speed recorder? YES. Can I listen to SCWL® Programs in my car? NOT RECOMMENDED by Midwest Research of Michigan, Inc. because of the relaxing nature of the ocean wave sounds. Is there any special concentration required when listening to SCWL® Programs? NO. On the contrary, it is recommended that you play them while busy doing other activities: Watching TV, reading a book, doing housework, at the office, in the garage, etc. Remember, we are bypassing consciousness; the busier the conscious mind is, the better. How soon can I expect results? DO NOT place time limits on results. When you do and your subconscious mind determines you cannot reach your desired results in the time frame you have consciously established, it will simply stop working toward the achievement of that particular goal and begin working on other things you spend your time thinking about. Do some SCWL® Programs work faster than others? YES. Everyone reacts differently. For most, results will be noticeable in a short period of time. For some others, a longer time will be needed. Once again, place no time limits on results. Desire a change, press "Play" and let the programs work! After results are achieved, do I continue to listen to the programs? Once you have achieved your desired behavioral change, you may be exposed to reverse types of conditioning in your daily routine. If so, use them as you feel the need to. Do you recommend supportive programs? YES. Many times a behavioral change such as weight control may cause you to focus on several other areas in your life, such as: depression, stress, anxiety, exercise, sex, happiness, etc. Why are SCWL® Programs more expensive than other subliminal programs? The program price is a reflection of the program quality. From the scripting and editing, to the approval by professionals in the field, to the specialized recording techniques, the SCWL® programs are the best available in the world. Do you guarantee your programs? ABSOLUTELY! We make it a win/win situation for our customers. Almost everyone will achieve noticeable results in 90 days. Is research available? YES. Research packets may also be purchased separately for a minimal cost of $10.00. The package contains information on Dr. Philip Hansen, head of Self-Teaching Institute (STI), and Dr. Don Morgan of the Center for Independent Research. The packet also includes some completed research extracts, those in progress, as well as, general information on subliminals. Requests should be sent to the attention of the Research Department at Midwest Research of Michigan, Inc. Can I get involved in research? YES. Many professionals in the medical and educational fields, as well as, those in business are involved in our research. Write to the Research Department stating what you wish to do and how you want to be involved. If it is a project we can do, you will be contacted by our office in regard to implementing a study. Individuals of any age are always welcomed to participate in our research programs. Do you provide testimonials? YES. What are the legalities regarding subliminals? The only regulations on subliminals prohibit their use over the airways only. These regulations are governed by the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) and the United Nations. What is the future of Midwest Research of Michigan and subliminals? While understanding more and more how the mind has an unlimited capacity for processing information, the methods for introducing vast amounts of positive information to the subconscious mind through the senses is now the goal of our producers and researchers of subliminal techniques. As technology improves and we continue to unlock the mysteries of the mind, mankind will continue to move forward even faster. Are SCWL® Programs produced only in English? NO. In addition to English, we also have the programs recoreded in Japanese, Spanish, and French. Do you recommend SCWL® Programs for children? YES, we highly recommend them for children. The information is totally positive and will help children develop positive attitudes, a good self-image and confidence. Obviously, some titles are not appropriate. It is a matter of choice for parents. In addition to the customized children series, we suggest the educational series, the family development series and the athlete series as excellent programs for children as well as any programs dealing with confidence and attitude builders. Does Midwest Research of Michigan offer customized SCWL® Programs? YES. Does Midwest Research of Michigan, Inc. continue to develop new programs? YES. As society's needs a change and new areas of interest are developed, MWRM consults with professionals in the specific fields to obtain the best possible information for scripting new programs. Can I copy an SCWL® Program? When copying any program, whether a regular music tape or a subliminal tape, you experience a generation loss. Should you copy our SCWL® program you may lose enough affirmations to render the program ineffective. Can tapes be recorded without the introduction? It is possible to record only custom programs for specific individuals without the introduction. You may erase the introduction on the regular programs; however, it will void the guarantee. As such, we will no longer be able to make availalbe a refund or replacement for you.
